Shifting my "why" and setting new personal goals.

I've been pretty much a single mother since my son was born. Without getting into the details, his father couldn't participate. While I have been very fortunate to have the support of my husband - the quest to raise my child has largely been mine (shoutout to the stepparents - who do not have an easy role!). "My son" has always been my "why" - the two words I write in those blanks on conference surveys about why I am there. This past Friday, he graduated from High School—Mic drop.

What now? The truth is I saw this coming. LOL. It is no surprise that Henry turned 18, graduated from school, and is now on his way to my alma matter. Undoubtedly, this will be an adjustment for all of us, but what an opportunity to set new and lofty goals for ourselves! I'm excited for us both.

Since this milestone didn't exactly sneak up on me, I have been thinking about my goals and preparing for what is next. I am moving to another state and growing my business, but what are my goals? I can wholeheartedly say my "why" now is to help others through their milestones. Assisting people on their journeys to better themselves gives me a tingly feeling when I can sense I am doing it well. It's not easy, but that is fine with me. I don't do easy.

I also don't go it alone. I have my coach, and I just bought one of the books on the list linked below. Can you guess which one I chose? If you would like to select one of your own and join me for a discussion on what jumped out at you, how you want to shift your goals, and how I might be able to help, drop me a line! I would LOVE to talk to you.
